Wedding Venue Hire
Choosing your wedding venue is no doubt one of the biggest decisions you will have to make and it will set the tone for your whole wedding day. Depending on your priorities, it’s likely going to be the single highest individual cost too. Therefore, make sure you and your partner are both in agreement before putting down a deposit. We recommend visiting at least a handful of venues before making your decision. Many venues offer varying packages, costs and facilities. Our wedding venues supplier’s list is here to help make this process less stressful.
It is always a good idea to book your venue at least 12-months in advance if you can. Especially at peaks times when venues book up quickly.
Bear in mind where the location of your venue is. Firstly, will all your guests be able to get there? Secondly, are there airports or public transport for those travelling from afar? Lastly, Can the venue accommodate guests staying overnight or are their hotels nearby?
Have you checked if the venue has a wedding licence? If not, you will need to get married at a licensed venue such as a church or registry office first.
Ask yourself how many guests can the venue hold? For example, can you fit everyone in for your wedding breakfast? Moreover, Is there enough room in the evening for all of your friends and family?
Keeping a check on your budget is important, think about the cost for each guest? Is there room hire charges? Will there be costs for your evening guests? Is wedding catering included?
Does the decor of the wedding venue suit your wedding theme? Are you allowed to dress the venue to suit your colours and tastes?
When you visit the venue, it’s so important to meet the staff who are going to be running your big day in advance, to ensure they not only seem competent. But most importantly, did they seem like they cared for you, your needs and are willing to bring your big day to life?
