Our photographers James and Merika from James Green Studio were brilliant we cannot thank them enough. They weren’t only photographers, they lent their helping hand with so many things which helped our wedding to run smoothly. From fixing the guy’s buttonholes on correctly to helping with my dress buttons, calmly with minutes left before the ceremony and helping my veil to stay in (which was a challenge in itself). They were both so attentive to us, always making sure we were both genuinely feeling ok, staying hydrated and making us laugh and feel at ease in front of the camera.

Makeup By Rebecca Barker was lovely to work with. I had never had my makeup done professionally before and she made sure I was looking my best whilst still feeling like myself. My makeup lasted all day and all night. I didn’t want to remove it at the end of the evening, I wanted to stay looking that all the time! I have already spoken about re-booking Rebecca to do my makeup for another event I have planned.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by 74 West Ltd for over ten years and I knew I wanted to use their service on my wedding day. So, I booked a trial with Mollie Rose who is in charge of their occasion hair. We tried a style I was thinking of and she did it perfectly but I changed my mind nearer the time and asked if she minded if we go for something different. She was very understanding and created the final look that can be seen in the photos. Mollie arrived promptly and felt like a member of our wedding party, chatting with everyone. I was so happy with how my hair was on the day!

Gina from Enchanted Garden Grimsby provided an amazing service. She was always available for me to ask questions and help with any queries or things that I was panicking about. She’s a genuinely lovely person and her work is absolutely stunning! I had it in my head that I would like a lilac theme, nothing too bright and in your face but still enough to give colour to the venue. She listened and selected the most beautiful choice of flowers – the sheer amount of compliments I received on the day and after regarding the flowers was brilliant to hear, and well deserved.

Proposals Bridal Room in Grimsby was very accommodating and made my dress experience a great one! They were so kind and patient whilst I tried on the dresses that caught my eye. I had previously purchased my prom dress from Proposals and I knew I wanted to look here first for a wedding dress. I ended up falling in love with the first one I had tried on and since there was a sale, I got it for an even more amazing price! Also, the seamstress Jess, who works from the shop called Paris Clothing nearby deserves a mention. She was so lovely and even fitted in last-minute bridesmaid adjustments for me, excellent at her job.

I had seen photos of Hall Farm Hotel and Restaurant but had never been there myself. However, I knew this venue would be my first choice and after looking around, my decision was made and we booked! I wanted a nice countryside theme with an intimate feel. Hall Farm’s rustic charm coincided with our decor beautifully, I wanted to have lots of wooden pieces as my husband is a carpenter and I thought it would be nice to include this on our day.

Alan from Hall Farm was lovely and made sure everything ran smoothly by organising the day wonderfully, as well as being our toastmaster! A tip I would give to people who have just got engaged would be to find out your budget and timescale, then think about your venue first. Once your venue is booked everything else will fall into place as your venue plays a part in the type of style and theme for everything you will have on the day.

I can honestly say that nothing went wrong on the day, every single thing went to plan and I can only put this down to my fantastic suppliers. Wedding planning can be stressful but if you choose the right suppliers, your mind will be at ease knowing that it is in their capable hands and they take that weight off your shoulders.
