LISA TEMPLEMAN
After many years, I thought it was about time I introduced myself!
My name is Lisa, and I’m 35 years old. I have an incredible husband who hasn’t been able to escape the wedding world since marrying me! I’m also a very proud part-time working Mummy to Edith, who is 4. I thought after having Edi, I would slow down, but quite the opposite. She has given me so much determination to keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone.
From a very young age, I’ve always been creative; my oil paints and easels still reside in my home. Art and Design was the one subject I really excelled in, and having a creative vision has never really left me.
How did I get here?
It’s been a very exciting process creating Lincs Weddings and one that’s felt right from the start. Back in 2014, barely over a year since becoming Mrs Templeman, I started The Lincolnshire Wedding Blogger. Born purely out of frustration, I just couldn’t shake off the feeling that I’d failed somehow because I really struggled to find suppliers that portrayed our relationship and style.
I was sure that the perfect suppliers were out there, but I became too distracted by the mainstream advertisements and couldn’t see the wood for the trees. After starting the blog, it became clear I wasn’t the only one finding themselves in my predicament. As the website grew, so did questions from brides and grooms looking for recommendations. What struck me the most over the years was how many amazing suppliers came out of the woodwork. Our beautiful County has an abundance of talent, and I still to this day stumble across new and exciting wedding suppliers.
This marked the biggest shift in direction for my website. I’d finally cracked it. After years of building up contacts, I had gathered all the wedding suppliers I’d been searching for — each one unique, with an abundance of style and budget options. They just needed a platform. Before I knew it, I had created a Wedding Directory for the county, and in 2018, Lincs Weddings was born.
Lincs Weddings has been such a creative outlet for me, and I’ve loved every challenge that comes with building my own business. I hope you find the perfect supplier here on the website, and please let me know if you do!
