Cupid could only wish he styled this Valentine’s inspired proposal shoot. Luckily, a team of incredibly talented suppliers brought the vision to life, creating a scene full of romance, heartfelt moments, and swoon-worthy details. Featuring a real couple in an intimate, love-filled moment. This shoot isn’t just about pretty styling; it’s about capturing authentic emotion, celebrating love, and showcasing the creativity of everyone involved. From the floral arrangements to the fine details, every element tells a story of collaboration and inspiration, making this Valentine’s editorial truly unforgettable.

LEAH THE WEDDING PLANNER

As Leah The Wedding Planner, I was behind this styled shoot, bringing all of the suppliers together and developing the overall concept. I wanted to create something truly different, a real proposal that felt authentic and full of genuine love and emotion, rather than a traditional styled setup.

My vision was to capture meaningful, heartfelt moments while collaborating with a wide range of talented suppliers to produce something really special, something none of us had created before. The result was a beautifully emotional and unique piece of work that truly reflects the power of collaboration and storytelling.

CHOSEN VIEW FLORISTRY

Being a part of this styled shoot was a chance for Chosen View Floristry to show how florals can shape the feeling of a wedding day or intimate event in a really personal way. I focused on creating designs that felt romantic and intentional, using a mix of deep reds and soft blush tones to bring warmth and intimacy to the space. By letting individual stems stand out and placing arrangements low around tables, the florals felt immersive rather than formal, designed to enhance the moment without overwhelming it. The overall look was about creating an atmosphere that feels modern, meaningful, relaxed, and beautifully considered, perfect for couples wanting something a little different from the traditional tables.

THE CAKE QUEEN LINCOLN

I love being involved in styled wedding shoots because they give me the freedom to experiment, try new ideas, and really push my creativity as a cake maker. When Leah shared her vision for a romantic engagement-style shoot in soft pinks and reds, I knew it was something special. Designing a small single-tier cake for such an intimate proposal felt really meaningful, and the whole set-up at The Lincoln Hotel, a local venue The Cake Queen Lincoln adores working with, was absolutely beautiful and full of romance.

EMMA LOUISE MAKEUP ARTIST

What a fun and fabulous shoot! When Leah asked me to be part of the day and showed me the inspiration, I couldn’t wait to join. As one half of the glam team, for makeup, we went for a chic and effortless, modern look that emphasised Binky’s gorgeous features. I went for soft, natural glam that prioritised a dewy, glowy base. This is my signature style at Emma Louise Makeup Artist, and it also makes for gorgeous photos. The team were all absolutely amazing, the work of each supplier created the most incredible results. I can’t wait to see the final edits!

PRETTY PANACHE BRIDAL

When Leah asked if Pretty Panache wanted to be a part of this shoot, I didn’t hesitate to say yes! It was very exciting to be involved in a shoot that was a little bit different to the usual. I opted for one of my bridal mini dresses as we were doing an engagement, some statement earrings and a cute pair of bridal heels to finish the look. It was great to work with such fabulous suppliers; we all had fun and fulfilled the brief perfectly!

FINISHING TOUCHES WEDDING HIRE

I was absolutely thrilled to be part of this engagement shoot at the Lincoln Hotel. Being surrounded by such a talented, collaborative team made the experience feel truly special. From the very beginning, the vision was so aligned, and together we created a beautifully romantic atmosphere with pink tones and rich reds, lots of candlelight and an abundance of lush florals from Amy. The setting felt intimate and timeless, and Im delighted that Finishing Touches Wedding Hire was a part of such a thoughtful, inspired collaboration.

SARAH SAGE BRIDAL HAIRSTYLIST

I’m Sarah Sage Bridal, and I had the pleasure of styling hair for the recent Valentine’s shoot at The Lincoln hotel. It was such a wonderful experience and pleasure working with the team. I created a stylish half-up, half-down hairstyle, combining soft waves with an elegant style to complement the romantic look and making the overall look timeless and effortless.

THE WEDDING TIME CAPSULE

The Wedding Time Capsule is a UK wedding content creation service that captures weddings exactly as they unfold, from the emotional highlights to the quiet, behind-the-scenes moments couples would otherwise miss. Inspired by my own experience as a recent bride and cultural background rooted in preserving memories, the brand was created as a true “wedding time capsule,” recognising how quickly a wedding day can pass, much like the blur of excitement after an unforgettable concert. My signature style is romantic, timeless, and deeply storytelling-led, always seeing the day from the couple’s point of view and capturing the heart and soul of how everything unfolds. Which is exactly what we got to capture from this shoot!
Recently awarded a Hitched Wedding Award and rated as one of the best wedding content creators in Cheshire, The Wedding Time Capsule travels nationwide and beyond and is proudly recommended by its clients.

STEVE MCSMAILES PHOTOGRAPHY

For this styled shoot, Leah came to me wanting to create a proposal rather than a wedding, which I was really drawn to. As we had a real couple and wanted to capture the proposal, I wanted the reaction to be as authentic as possible, so I made the decision to have our models run through all the moments in real time without stopping. This meant those real emotions came through, and they were really having a moment together, which I hope comes through on camera. There were even some tears, which speaks to the power of doing it in that way, I think. It’s how I operate on a wedding day, so it all just made perfect sense. Everyone came together so well, and I’m proud that Steve McSmailes Photography was able to capture everyone’s hard work and dedication to their craft.
