Hi, I’m Amy, Director of Amy Lauren Weddings; the company’s creator, designer and wedding planning guru! Amy Lauren Weddings specialises in Venue Consultancy and Wedding Coordination.
Our aim is to be there for our couples through the laughter, stress, tears, and Cheshire cat smiles! With a friendly personable approach, attention to detail at every turn and professional planning right down to the final moments.
TOP TIP
Know your style, own your style and love your style.
One of the most important aspects of creating a show-stopping day is to find your style and allow everything else to compliment it. A huge impact which enforces this choice should be your venue. Your dress, your colours, your flowers, your table styling: they all need to complement each other.
Time and time again, I’ve been to weddings at venues that have bold and dramatic carpets or wallpaper which clash with the couple’s choice of style and theme. You really need to be mindful of your colour and style choice to ensure it compliments the pre-existing decor of your venue; and if you don’t like it, consider reassessing your venue choice altogether. Remember the background is everything!!
I work directly with couples who are planning their own unique day. Perhaps in their or their parent’s garden, a unique venue. Furthermore, a field or green space within a marquee, tipi, yurt or even at an alternative venue with no in-house staff.
Top Tip – When viewing venues, do not visit more than 3 in one go. There is a lot to take in, and it’s easy to become overwhelmed. Take time to decide.
In addition, I work with couples who are getting married at numerous venues. All of these venues are extremely unique venues offering a truly magical approach for couples celebrating their big day with them.

Top Tip – At the start of your wedding planning journey, create an email address specifically for your wedding. This is to keep all your wedding details and contacts all in one place.
WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU’D OF KNOWN BEFORE?
One of the most common points couples highlight after their wedding day is that they didn’t get to share special intimate moments with one another as much as they’d wished. Although the day centred around them, as a couple they were pulled in so many different directions. Such as, socialising with guests meant that they missed out on taking time to celebrate their moment together. By having a sweetheart table, the couple can spend those special moments together over dinner.
The sweetheart table is one of my favourites ‘go-to’ golden tips. Separating yourselves from the crowds and avoiding any awkward decisions on who does and does not sit on the top table with you.
