A WINTERS TALE

BRIDAL PHOTOSHOOT LINCOLNSHIRE

This shoot represents every single word of encouragement I’ve received, showing what can be created by having confidence in your ideas.

It was important to have the location of our shoot at Healing Manor, where the first Lincolnshire Wedding Fair will be hosted. I look back at my first meeting with Charlotte Hay fondly who is the Managing Director at Healing Manor and the face behind The Creative Larder. I am a bundle of ideas but however much you believe in yourself it’s always daunting telling someone for the first time. Charlotte not only listened to my ideas, but she also ran with them. From that day on, the Lincolnshire Wedding Fair was created. I came away completely inspired, with newfound confidence, which was needed In order to promote the Fair to suppliers within the industry. I have quickly learnt that you could tell a room full of 100 people your ideas but you only need just 1 person to believe in you.

My goal was to create a photo shoot to help promote the Fairs and incorporate as many exhibiting suppliers as I could but also encourage collaboration between businesses that may not have previously worked together.

My first point of call was Lincolnshire Weddings Supplier List member Holly Bryan Photography. I have followed Holly’s work from the very beginning, seeing her progress from family portraits to engagements and weddings. This shoot would certainly show off how far she has come in the last year. Holly had such a clear vision for the day, which would lead to her taking on the role of stylist and photographer. It is no mean feat to undertake such big roles within a shoot but Holly perfected both and I couldn’t be prouder of her work.

Holly had help with styling from florist Sarah Wyatt of Treasured Bouquets. Sarah’s attention to detail is incredible, she has an amazing ability to stick to a brief but create something beyond expectations. Sarah created a wild-style bridal bouquet and matching flower crown using deep burgundy, plums and blue flowers. She incorporated lots of mixed foliage, pine cones, berries, pampas blooms and a splash of gold. The hand-tied bouquet was finished off with beautiful floating hand-dyed silk ribbons. A table centrepiece, tall floral arrangement along with foliage detail on the napkins and chair signs completed the look.

Meet our model Megan Battersby. Holly and I could not recommend Megan enough. Not only is Megan incredibly beautiful, but she is also a pleasure to deal with on and off set. Numerous times, Megan was called upon at a moment’s notice and she delivered. I can’t wait to see where Megan’s modelling career takes her, skies are the limit!

Makeup was created by the very talented Kate Atkinson Makeup Artist. Kate’s work speaks volumes, Megan looked stunning and her makeup lasted the entire day. However, Kate did more than beautiful makeup, she created an atmosphere that set the tone for the entire shoot. Kate made everyone feel at ease by starting conversations and creating a rapport with each supplier. Having Kate with you on the morning of your wedding day will make your nerves melt away.

The lovely Natalie George The Makeover Fairy and Lincolnshire Weddings very own Supplier List member took over the reins with hair. Natalie worked tirelessly to produce not one but two beautiful, timeless hairstyles under tight deadlines. Most notably, Natalie was a great team player working closely with myself and Victory Designs who trusted Natalie implicitly to produce a style that would enhance her customised headpiece.

Proposals Bridal Room situated in the exclusive Abbeygate of Grimsby allowed Lincolnshire Weddings to borrow the most beautiful gown by Ronald Joyce, called Naomi. This showstopper, tulle and soft satin fishtail wedding dress with all-over lace detailing, high neckline and illusion back, fitted perfectly with our theme. Proposals became a brilliant addition to the team.

Victory Design’s headpiece completely took my breath away. Di paid homage to the Gown and created a bespoke design using high-quality pearls, Swarovski beads and Swarovski crystal drops. The forehead detailing was stunning and couldn’t have complemented the look any better.

I felt incredibly lucky when Katie Buffey from Salt + Silver agreed to supply her beautiful handmade jewellery for our shoot. Having the opportunity to showcase the New Collection was so exciting. “You are my sun, my moon and all my stars” is just one of the quotes that inspired this collection, bringing such a romantic touch to the day.

Katie’s Cupcakes experienced her first photo shoot with us and I hope she enjoyed the day as much as we all did having her. Seeing Katie’s work up close and the amount of detail that goes into her designs is incredible. Katie created a beautiful four-tier wedding cake using gold lustre, navy and grey marble with blackberries, various autumn-coloured berries, roses and the odd pine cone. Seamlessly fitting into our shoot’s colour scheme.

What would a wedding shoot be without Lincolnshire Weddings Supplier List member The Chocolat Story‘s expertly crafted artisan chocolates? We’d be absolutely nothing! These luxurious chocolates tasted sensational and looked divine. Trace created bespoke wedding bonbons using deep red, and navy blue colours with a touch of 24k gold and a personalised quote.

Flat Chance created two beautiful Mr & Mrs gold signs for the table and the back of the chairs, which added personality to the shoot. One of my favourite photographs from the day is due to these stand-out signs creating a unique contrast against the beautiful backdrop that is, Healing Manor’s moat.

Stationary was provided by the Luxury Invite Company. Recommended by Treasured Bouquets, it gave two businesses an opportunity to work together who wanted to collaborate on a table plan. I’m proud that my business enables people to cross paths that may not have done so without these opportunities.

Fun fact, Cromwell Black the beautiful great Dane made his debut appearance in the Lincolnshire Weddings Styled Shoot whilst celebrating his 1st Birthday in style at The Pig & Whistle. Thank you for giving me palpitations around the dress Cromwell, although I needn’t of worried.

Thank you everyone.
